The Disney princesses are the backbone of Walt Disney Animation. These ladies are instantly recognizable, and so are their dresses. But most of the dresses don’t quite match what these royal women would’ve worn in their respective time periods. Nothing wrong with fantasy dresses, but have you ever wondered what their period dresses would’ve looked like?

Artist Claire Hummel reimagined Disney’s leading ladies in authentic costumes, based on their infamous gowns. Some are actually fairly close to the originals!
